BBS Graffiti Wall, Many Bulletin Board Systems had a built in feature or add on feature commonly called a Auto-Message or Graffiti Wall. Generally the Auto-Message feature was shown when users logged on the bulletin board system to inform users of news and developments possibly even "GT's, or Get Togethers". Some systems allowed users to post in this feature, while others only allowed the use of this for the SysOp. While the Graffiti Wall feature was used more as a generic message board allowing users to advertise their bulletin board systems or comment on other related topics of interest. It was a neat addition to any system allowing users to toss simple messages back and forth or toss a quote maybe share a frustration that someone that just had beat them in a online game. |
